2008 Champ Car Grand Prix of Toronto Practice




Practice went the way of Paul Tracy yet again. Taking no prisoners in P1 and P2, Tracy leads Practice by over 4 tenths of a second over the second fastest machine Nelson Philippe.

Practice did see many drivers have issue with the walls. Veteran Mario Dominguez’s season has been tough, highlighted this weekend by a crash in the final corner. Also seeing contact were the cars of Raphael Matos and EJ Viso. Both also saw contact with the final corner wall.

Returning to Toronto and Champ Car proved tough for Ryan Dalziel. Having multiple spins and contact with the wall left Dalziel running only 14 laps in both sessions combines.

EJ Viso was again warned by Champ Car Officials to pick up his pace in Qualifying, as Champ Car will use the 107% rule if he cannot pick up his speed.
